Mark your calendars and join us to celebrate Youth Represent's fourth annual Who Takes the Cake benefit on Thursday October 21, 2010 at 6:30pm.

We are delighted to announce this year's honoree, NYC Probation Commissioner Vincent N. Schiraldi. Widely hailed for his innovative leadership, Commissioner Schiraldi previously founded the Center on Juvenile & Criminal Justice, a non-profit committed to reducing society's reliance on imprisonment as a solution to social problems. In his current role, Commissioner Schiraldi has proven himself to be a tireless advocate for New York City's youth, dedicated to implementing transformative, lasting change.

This year has been an exciting and productive one for Youth Represent. We have provided legal representation for more New York City youth involved in the criminal justice system than ever before, continuing to expand the reach of our mission to help them rebuild their lives. Joining us in our efforts this year, our 2010-12 Equal Justice Works Fellow Michael Pope, generously sponsored by the law firm Morrison & Foerster, has contributed invaluable insight and expertise to the launch of Youth Represent's newest venture, the Community Youth Reentry Project.
