The Thirteen/WNET and WLIW21 Community Advisory Board honored Youth Represent with a 2009 Community Hall of Fame Award at a ceremony on June 17, 2009 at the Thirteen/WNET Studio in Manhattan. Each year, the Community Advisory Board honors non-profits who demonstrate exemplary and innovative efforts in the fields of the arts, culture, education, and social concerns that are related to the stations' mission to educate, enlighten, and inform.

Edward Sullivan, former New York State Assemblyman of 26 years and current member of the Community Advisory Board, presented the award. The award was accepted by Youth Represent's Chair of the Board of Directors, Roberta Meyers-Peeples. Youth Represent was nominated for the award by Ilse Melamid.

Youth Represent is proud to be one of the 2009 inductees, along with SAGE, ArtsConnection, and the Coalition for the Homeless.
